AAAA Records in Web Hosting
If you use a service with a third-party service provider and you've got to create an AAAA record to forward a domain or a subdomain to their system, you're going to be able to do that with a couple of mouse clicks in the Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with our web hosting solutions. Once you log in, you have to go to the DNS Records section in which you are going to find all of the records for every domain or subdomain hosted in the account. Setting up a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, picking out the type from a drop-down menu, that will be AAAA in this case, and then entering the value, or the actual IPv6 address, in a text box. As an added option you can change the TTL value (Time To Live), which outlines how long the record will be functioning after you change it or erase it in the future. The new AAAA record will be active in only an hour and will propagate globally a couple of hours later, so the hostname for which you have created it will start redirecting to the new web server.
AAAA Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you've got a semi-dedicated server account from our company and you need to set up an AAAA record for a domain address you have hosted in it or a subdomain you've created, it is going to take you just a few clicks within the Hepsia CP to do that. Even though you may have never had a website hosting account before, you won't experience any problems because you will use a very simple and user-friendly interface. All of the DNS records for your domains will be listed in a section of the CP with the exact same name, so when you go there, you'll see all records that have been set up automatically or manually and you will be able to create a new one by simply clicking the corresponding button. A small pop-up shall appear, so with just a couple of mouse clicks you can select the type of record that you need and for which domain or subdomain it will be created. After that, simply paste the IPv6 address inside a text box, save the modification and 1 hour later the new AAAA record will be fully live. As an optional setting, you can select the time this record will be operating after you change it or remove it in the future. This is the so-called TTL, or Time To Live value of the record, which you can modify from the default 3600 seconds if the other service provider requires it.
