A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital if you are running some business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters in order to receive only real messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of features, but it is stunningly user-friendly, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us. The semi-dedicated account will be managed through our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain name hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you will have to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Disabling this option can be accomplished in the same manner and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all option has already been activated for a certain domain name, you’ll receive a warning notice. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never modify or disable any feature automatically.
